Hi <<First Name>>,

On this national day of giving, Giving Tuesday, I hope you will consider a gift of literacy to a child in Haiti.

As many of you know, I work with a school in Haiti that provides an education to 150 children who can't afford to go to school. Peter and I formed Mommy Sue's Children to support the school to make sure the children continue getting the education they deserve.  What you may not know is that while Mommy Sue's Children does not run the school, we are the major source of support that keeps the school going.

That's where  you come in. In honor of Giving Tuesday, we're asking for donations to the nonprofit - which go directly to the school and to the children.  To donate, click the following link: http://www.mommysueschildren.org/donations/

Here's the breakdown of what your donations mean to the Community School of Bellevue in Haiti:

- $25 gives a child a uniform. In Haiti it's customary that all children wear a school uniform, and while the school accepts them without uniforms, a uniform may be the only new set of clothes they get this year.

- $50 provides school supplies for one year for one child. Most children share books because they can't afford their own.

- $100 pays a teacher for one month. This ensures we have quality teachers teaching the children.

- $250 sponsors a child for one year and pays for their uniform, school supplies, an egg every school day, and any other expenses.

- $500 buys 20 chickens and feed to help the school become sustainable

- $1000 pays a teacher for a year, as the school year is 10 months long.

- $10,000 builds one classroom in the new school. We've purchased land and are currently raising money to build a new, sturdy school while keeping the old school functioning

Again, the link to donate is:  http://www.mommysueschildren.org/donations/

Thank you and happy holidays!
