  December 2014
Welcome to our December 2014 email newsletter
Dear Residents

I hope you are enjoying the better-than-ever Christmas Lights which are now shining across Baildon thanks to a partnership between local businesses and Baildon Town Council. Thanks to everyone who turned out on Friday 28th November for the switch-on of the lights and who helped to make it such an enjoyable community event (see further details of this event on the Council website).

On Sunday 7th December, 'Baildon-at-Christmas' will once again bring residents out in large numbers to enjoy this splendid community event, taking place in many different venues around the centre of Baildon. Please get a copy of the programme from local shops and community centres or see further information below.

Those of you who enjoy singing carols are invited to put on your thermal hats and coats and meet up for 'Carols in the Village' at 7pm on Thursday 18th December, accompanied by the Hall Royd Band.

The Farmers' Market on Saturday 20th December will provide your final chance to buy some special foodie treats from our popular market stalls before Christmas.

Looking into the New Year, please also see details below about a forthcoming  'Baildon Community Fair' on Saturday 24th January. If you are already involved with a voluntary organisation or would like to become a volunteer, then please put this date in your diary.

I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of Baildon Town Council, to thank all of you who contribute in so many ways to making Baildon such a lively and supportive community in which to live, and to wish you all a Happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.
Best wishes
Chris Flecknoe
Chair of Baildon Town Council

Baildon's historic regalia made its first outing since 1974 at the Christmas lights switch on.
