Active Broxbourne: Final Days to Submit Sportivate Applications
Dear Colleagues,

Time is running out to send in your Sportivate Application for projects starting from April 2015 onwards. The deadline is at the end of week SUNDAY 30TH NOVEMBER, so please ensure you dont miss it.

Active Broxbourne is fully committed to allocating Sportivate funding to the ‘right’ projects and the ‘right’ places. One particular focus for us moving into year 5 of delivery is to ensure our delivery mirrors our local demographics as closely as possible as it is essential that Sportivate is delivered equitably across all age groups of young people. Following guidance from Sport England and its 'Youth Insight Pack', Active Broxbourne will be prioriting projects that focus on:
  • Women & Girls or 19yr+
  • Projects that target Under 16s will only be considered if it meets one of the national themes (disability / girls / NEET / BME)
  • New innovative ideas welcomed delivery April 2015 – March 2015
Main Criteria for Projects:
  • Projects must target 11 to 25 year olds in the ‘semi sporty’ category
  • All projects must have an evidence of demand to justify the need for the activity.
  • All projects need to run over 6-8 weeks and each session needs to be a minimum of 1 hour.
  • All projects must demonstrate sustainability and have a clear exit route. Participants will need to be supported into local clubs or alternative sports provision in their local community.
  • Regular communication with the Sport Development Officer regarding the project including weekly updates and registers.
  • Sportivate branding must appear on all marketing material
  • Activities must be new, or build on and extend current provision to new participants.
  • Programmes should run at any point between 1st April 2015 to 31st March 2016. Please note that all projects will be subject to the terms of CoachMark; further information is available on the Herts Sports Partnership website (www.sportinherts.org.uk).
