Showcasing the beauty of the human spirit - in mid air - around the world

.....

...the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.” - William Hutchinson Murray

ALICE KO  ...

From/Works:
I’m originally from Victoria, BC. I currently live in Vancouver and I am a finance/Chartered Accountant turned digital/ business strategist.

Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
A:
I jump to express my happiness, energy and enthusiasm for life!

I’ve always loved taking jumping photos. It was just a great way to express the happiness of the moment I was in. I’ve also recently realized it’s a great exercise to do when you need that boost of energy! I challenge anyone to try and not smile as you’re jumping for joy - impossible!

Q. Your experience doing jumping photos?
A:
Uplifting! I loved the vibe of the photographer ;) Although it was chilly in Gastown, the sun was shining and the sky was blue! I actually had a great weekend so doing a jumping session on Monday was the perfect way to start off my week. We should all start our week off jumping!

Q: What inspires you in life?

A: Possibilities. The fact that anything and everything is possible.

Also - the energy of the city and environment I’m in, friends and the people around me… the future, potential, gratitude, kindness, art, nature, the universe, perspective, authenticity...people who surprise you and who do great things.

Q: Your greatest passion?
A: To live a full life with no regrets, to take advantage of every opportunity and try different things while never compromising health and fitness - while inspiring others to do the same thing. I love supporting others to push themselves so they can the best they can be. I think we are our own biggest critics and if I can help someone see how much potential they have and how talented they are so they can realize their dream - that makes me really happy.

Q: Your driving force?
A:
Living life to the fullest and experiencing as much as you can. Curiousity. Change. People. I love trying different things and pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

Q: Philosophy?
A:

Can I have three? My main mantra is that “things don’t make us happy - connecting with others and experiences make us happy. I also love:

“Life is short. Don’t be lazy. We have a limited time on earth so we need to make every moment count.” “Fall seven times, stand up eight.”

Q: Anything in the world?
A:
If I could do anything in this world (and there was enough time!) it would be to try everything once in this world! I’m a very curious person so I would travel everywhere. Sample every cuisine from every region on earth. I’d go live in New York City again. Learn every language. Hike every trail. Open up a paleo empire. If talent didn’t count - I would try more careers - I’d love to know what it was like to be a professional Broadway performer, chef, baker, fitness instructor, engineer, musician, web designer etc... Am I currently doing this? Well I’m on a podcast bringe lately. Also I just learned how to ride a bike this past summer so I’m checking things off the list :)

Q. Working on?
A:
I’m currently work with Ballet BC, Vancouver’s premier professional ballet company. They do crazy beautiful contemporary dance work and have some very exciting shows coming up in 2015 so please check them out!
http://www.balletbc.com/

I also work with a few other emerging brands including Modern Minerals Makeup, a cruelty-free cosmetics line.

I’m a recently converted morning bird and I’d love to inspire others so they can do the same - I want people to wake up bright-eyed and “jump for joy” out of the bed in the morning to kickstart their day. I’ll be sharing tips on how to become a morning killer on a blog called Love Your Mornings - think sweets and sunrises, morning and breakfast inspirations. Sign up here.

Q: Mini bio, interesting facts about you or something special you want to share.
A: I’ve recently gotten in paleo baking lately - if anyone has any great sugar-free recipes they want to share - I’m all ears. I also always up for chatting about new ideas and projects. Please get in touch and we can go for kombucha!
