Mad Mike’s Black Forest
Holiday Ham

A delicious ham, black caramel coated and trimmed with no bone. Enjoy this very gourmet ham from end to end, absolutely no waste, just mouthwatering, delicious smoked ham. Slice it thick for steaks, slice it thin for sandwiches and dice it for omelets or salads.

If you would like to order our Black Forest Ham for the holidays, you must order on or before December 15th (call 951-695-7397 or email MadMike08@MadMikesStore.com). You may pick up your hams, on Friday the 19th, Saturday the 20th, Monday the 22nd or Tuesday the 23rd.

Mild sausage made with lean pork, and flavored with cinnamon and fresh apples. Great for breakfast or that special brunch.

December used to be the tenth month of the Roman year, and it gets its name from the word "decem" which means ten.

The color of the twist tie on bread packaging means something. The color signifies what day of the week the bread was baked on. This aids the person stocking the shelves with bread in determining what bread is old and needs removed from the shelves.

Why a baker’s dozen is 13 instead of 12- many societies throughout history have had extremely strict laws concerning baker’s wares. In ancient Egypt, should a baker be found to cheat someone, they would have their ear nailed to the bakery door. In Babylon if a baker sold a light loaf, the baker would have his hand cut off. It became practice that if a customer ordered a dozen the baker would give 13 to make sure they never break the law and be subject to severe punishments.
