Lesson 518: What Would You Change?
When friends play golf, sometimes they allow each other a “mulligan”. This is a 2nd chance, a “do-over”, an opportunity to hit the same shot again, and pretend the first try never happened.
Imagine you could go back in time and change things so that they never happened. Knowing what you know now, what poor choices would you like to undo?
Some choices have devastating consequences to our life & loved ones. Anything we do and later regret began as a sinful desire.
Jesus passed the desert island test. He was alone. No one except God the Father would have known if He took a bite of the bread Satan offered. But Jesus never yielded to temptation.
He continued trusting and obeying God. Even when He was under tremendous pressure, even when it would have been easy to give in, Jesus never failed.
He did that for Himself, but also for us.
Rom.3:22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
