Holiday wishes
As 2014 comes to a close, we wish to thank everyone who has supported Regina Cat Rescue throughout the year, and what a busy year it's been! We adopted our new trade name, developed new partnerships with local businesses, launched a revamped website, produced an educational video about feral cats, managed over 30 feral cat colonies, and coordinated the adoptions of over 330 cats and the rescue of over 360 cats. None of this would be possible without our volunteers and supporters. So thank you for your time, efforts, donations and commitment! The Regina Cat Rescue board of directors wishes you a very happy holiday season. We look forward to continuing the important work of rescuing Regina’s abandoned cats and caring for the city’s feral cat population in 2015. We hope we can count on your continued support.

Metro Pet Market spays it forward!
Regina Cat Rescue silver sponsor, Metro Pet Market, has committed to sponsoring the spay or neuter of one RCR cat each month through their new Spay It Forward initiative. Spay It Forward is part of their on-going mission to foster responsible pet ownership. For more on Metro Pet Market, visit their website. For their first sponsorship, Metro has paid for Hannah’s spay. Hannah was rescued from a local feed mill as winter was setting in. She’s a friendly and affectionate cat, and now that she’s spayed, she’s ready for her forever home!

In Good Taste and RCR 2015 Calendars
RCR’s annual In Good Taste and calendar fundraisers have concluded for the year. Thank you to everyone who placed an order. In total, we raised enough funds to spay/neuter 20 cats and kittens! If you didn’t order your 2015 Regina Cat Rescue Calendar and still want one, you may be in luck! A limited number of copies are available for purchase at both Metro Pet Market locations in Regina (1637 Victoria Ave. and 3951 Rochdale Blvd.) and at TM’z Veterinary Clinic (Pleasant St.) in Lumsden.

Regina Cat Rescue wish list
It’s that time of year, and Regina Cat Rescue has a little wish list of our own. We need a number of items to help keep our foster and feral cats in comfort and joy. Of particular need is new scratching pads/posts, canned cat food, heated water bowls, 25’-50’ outdoor extension cords, cat litter, and litter pans. Check out our entire wish list here. Pet photos with Santa
Bring your furry friends down to PetValu (4661 Gordon Rd.) to have their photo taken with Santa! Regina Cat Rescue volunteers will be on site to take photos of cats and dogs on Saturday, Dec. 13 and Saturday, Dec. 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is just $10 per photo (photo printed right on site) and all proceeds to Regina Cat Rescue and Bright Eyes Dog Rescue.

Fall spay and neuter campaign wrap-up
Thirty cats and kittens were spayed and neutered thanks to all those who donated to RCR’s fall spay/neuter campaign. We extend a huge thank you to everyone who contributed. Here’s a gift idea for you! Sponsor the spay or neuter of a cat or kitten and we’ll send a beautiful card and photo of the sponsored cat in the recipient’s name to you or directly to the gift recipient. The cost to sponsor a spay/neuter is $100 and is payable by Paypal or e-transfer. Just email us before Dec. 18 for a Christmas time delivery!
