We started our journey of travel and exploration in 2007 (when we had four kids under the age of four). The first few years were challenging as we searched for ways to make our desire for long-term family travel financially sustainable.

There were many things we tried -- some of which worked, others which failed miserably. Over the years we've also interviewed dozens of travelers -- indies, couples and families -- to see what was working for them.

What we learned through it all boils down to two main points:

1. - It's ABSOLUTELY possible to make your dream come true, no matter what it is.

2. - How you fund it will ultimately be unique to your situation, skills and creativity -- but inspiration from others who have done it definitely helps!

So no matter who you are, what your dream is or how many kids, I mean, excuses you have (we now have six!), you can do whatever it is you're dreaming about.
