Fire Marshall's Office Holiday Tips

Christmas trees are are involved in approximately 400 fires annually. Remember to set up your Christmas tree away from fireplaces, portable heaters, heater vents and television sets. Place it out of the way of traffic and do not block doorways. Because heated rooms dry out natural trees rapidly, keep the stand filled with water; check the water level daily.

Petersburg Farmers Market is currently in the Winter Season schedule. The Market operates each Saturday from 9 a.m. to Noon. The Market is located under the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Bridge.
