Happy Thanksgiving!  A lot of news to report. Let’s clear and check, punch start and go.

2016 North American Orienteering Championships to be in Hanover, NH
Orienteering USA announces that the 2016 North American Orienteering Championships will be at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH with UNO being the host club. The event will be held September 23-25, 2016. Mark your calendars! All the pieces are falling into place but we will need volunteers to help move it forward. More information, the event website, and ways to volunteer will all be coming soon.

The sprint events will be on the Dartmouth campus and the middle and long will be on revised, LiDAR based maps. Camping will be available for those who want to enjoy the September leaves as they rise from their tents. It will be a great time to be in New Hampshire!

It's Annual Fund Time - Please Give
Did you know that approximately one out of every three dollars used to run OUSA comes in the form of donation; and that 100% of every dollar is used to drive the mission of OUSA? You do now.

The board of directors of OUSA is making their annual fund appeal and we rely upon your generosity the help promote and grow the sport of orienteering. Shortly you will see ads and envelopes in the October and November/ December issues of Orienteering North America magazine. Please take a minute and remember OUSA. Or you can save a stamp and give online at www.orienteeringusa.org and click on “Support Orienteering”.

Finally, the board asks that you consider making your gift, or a portion of your gift, “Undesignated” - this allows the board to spend the funds based on greatest need or opportunity. We thank you for your continued support.

Junior Team News
Becky Carlyle will coach the first Junior Regional Team, located in the New England region. Applications for the 2015 Junior National Team will be available soon. Coach Erin Schirm will run a training camp for Junior and Senior teams in California January 2-5, 2015. Finally, the Junior Team Executive Steering Committee is happy to announce that Allison Brown has been named the new Junior Team Administrator and thanks outgoing Administrator Barb Bryant for her service to our sport and the team.

Increase in A-meet Fees
Upon recommendation from the Finance Committee, the board of directors voted to increase fees for A-meet starts for the first time in several years. Effective in 2015 the cost per start for non-championship A-meets will be $5.00 for adults and $2.50 for Juniors. In national championship events the cost per start will be $10.00 for adults and $5.00.

These fees were passed to help create new programs to support A-meets, the cost of event medals and ongoing OUSA operating expenses.
