ECN Holiday Social

Peachtree Room, Student Center Commons

 
Celebrate the end of the year with your fellow ECN members at the annual holiday social. We'll decorate holiday cookies while sipping on hot chocolate. This is a free event for ECN members to attend, but an RSVP is required. Click here to submit your RSVP by December 15.

Designing a Successful Event

Matthew Redd, director of Commencement and Special Events at Vanderbilt University, joined us to discuss how he designs successful events. Through interactive examples and stories told from the field, Matthew provided helpful tips and tricks to make any event a success. Read more.

Contract Negotiation

Do you have what it takes to negotiate a contract with a vendor? Do you think that you have to settle for the original proposal when planning a meeting or event? These questions provided the basis of the workshop session on contract negotiation. Read more.

Case Study: Gold & White Honors Gala

Alumni Association staff presented a case study of one of their most spectacular events, the Gold & White Honors Gala. This session covered how they adopted new methods to improve the event. Read more.

Floral Design

Many attendees participated in the professional floral design breakout session lead by Valarie Bell, a local floral designer. This session covered how to make your own stunning and low cost florals. Read more.

Innovative Event Techniques

William Fogler, principal and founder of WM Events, presented his innovative event ideas, focusing on five elements: budgets, branding, lighting, timing and shopping. Read more.
