On December 7, the two teams that will compete in the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual will be chosen by the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. The selection will be announced as part of a special ESPN show at 9:45 a.m. PT. The 2015 Rose Bowl Game will take place on Thursday, January 1 at 2:10 p.m. PT.
Following the team selection, the Tournament of Roses will launch a public ticket sale on December 9. Tickets for the 2015 Rose Bowl Game will be available online or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-653-8000. The sale will give fans the opportunity to purchase tickets to the first-ever College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Stadium. Ticket prices are $150 and $225. Fans can also purchase official Rose Bowl Game travel and ticket packages online through PrimeSport.

The UCLA Band formed the number 8 on the field during the halftime of the UCLA vs Stanford game in honor of the jersey retirement of legendary UCLA QB Troy Aikman. The All-American led the Bruins to 20-4 record over two seasons and was later inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as well as the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
