Welcome to the December 2014 issue of Heritage Happenings E-News!

Heritage Happenings is the newsletter of the Heritage Community Association (HCA). HCA represents the 5,325 residents of Regina's inner city Heritage neighbourhood, which includes Broad St to Winnipeg St, the CPR Mainline south to Collage Ave, and the Arcola Triangle, which is bounded by Arcola Ave, Winnipeg St, and Victoria Ave. For more information about HCA programs and services, please visit heritagecommunityassociation.com

Wear Your Neighbourhood Pride

Just in time for the holiday season, HCA has teamed up with local graphic designer Jeannie Straub to create Heritage neighbourhood t-shirts.

These t-shirts make fantastic gifts for anyone in the neighbourhood. The design is a unique typography map featuring key businesses, houses, and historic buildings in the area.

The shirts come in sizes XS - XXL and cost $20. We also have tote bags for sale for only $5!

A limited number of kids shirts are available for $15 exclusively at Precious Earth.

Come-And-Go HCA Christmas Party

Stop by the HCA office on Wednesday, December 17th for a casual come-and-go Christmas party. Get to know our staff, meet the Artists in Residence, and see inside the historic old Firehall.

We will be serving free warm drinks and snacks. Come by anytime between 1-4pm. It's a great opportunity to see what we're up to, sign up for programs, or purchase t-shirts.

All are welcome! We are looking forward to meeting as many members of the community as possible!

Head over to Eastview Community Association for a wonderful Christmas meal for the entire family (of four) for only $15! Make sure to bring your little ones as Santa will be there!

Central Zone Indoor Soccer
January 24 - March 28, 2015

This is co-ed, no-cut recreational soccer for players ages 3 to 10. All teams get t-shirts, tournament games, and medals.

Dates & Times: Saturdays, 9-4pm
Location: Core Ritchie Neighborhood Center (445 14th Avenue)
Cost: $45/player (ages 3-10)

Beginner Yoga
January 14- March 4th, 2015

Learn the key benefits of yoga: balance, strength, improved mobility, reduced stress and increased awareness. Be encouraged by a safe and supportive space to explore your inner terrain!

Dates & Times: Wednesdays, 8-9:15pm
Location: Paper Crane Community Arts Center (above the Artful Dodger)
Cost: $65 + HCA Membership

Heritage Community Improv Ensemble
January - June, 2015
(3rd Thursday of the month)

These free evening drop-in improv nights will promote the skills of improvisation: listening, accepting, supporting, and expressing. Join our artists in residence for an evening of learning and fun! All are welcome.

Dates & Times: January 15, February 19, March 19, April 16, May 21, and June 18. 7:15-8:45pm

Mainly Mother Goose
January 14 - March 25, 2015

In partnership with the Regina Public Library, this free educational class is open to parents and little ones under the age of three. These drop-in mornings are full of songs, rhymes, bounces, and fun!
