                  E-Newsletter December 2014
Thank you to everyone who made it out to our very first BINGOrdon event. BINGOrdon was a night of bingo fun with our favourite local Drag Queens, it was brought to you by Young Ideas, The Vancouver Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and Gordon Neighbourhood House. Thanks Lady Jem for your special appearance.

To get involved or to volunteer at Young Ideas event/initiative please email Jim Balakshin at jim@gordonhouse.org. Stay tuned for our next event!
Our first Community Herb Garden has been a huge success this year, and we are looking for opportunities to expand for 2015. Thank you to our local partners Gordon Nelson Inc. for your support in launching the Community Herb Garden (Burnaby and Thurlow) and our second Urban Farm site (Jervis and Davie).

Do you know of a space in the neighbourhood that would benefit from a community herb garden? Do you have an interest in developing one for you and your neighbours in 2015? Get in touch with our Lead Farmer Susanna Millar at susanna@gordonhouse.org. We're here to help!

West End Seniors Community Planning Table

The Planning Table is not going to be meeting on Friday, November 28th. We will reconvene on Friday, Dec 5th 10:00AM-12:00PM at Gordon Neighbourhood House. Please join us for a holiday social after the meeting.
Henri is 99 years old, but you would never think it to see his zest for life and sense of humour - not to mention his belly-dancing. He is a true inspiration to us all.

This short film was produced in Reel Youth's Youth & Seniors Film Program, in partnership with Gordon Neighbourhood House. The program brought together youth and older adults in a creative collaboration to celebrate older Canadians through story-telling and film, with the added benefit of fostering new inter-generational relationships.

Are you interested in issues affecting children and families in the West End? If so, this committee is for you! For more information or to join the committee, please contact Agata Feetham, Program Director, at agata@gordonhouse.org
