Summer Volunteering!

Australia
Come south to Tasmania and join us at Point Puer on the Tasman Peninsula. This site is located across the harbour from Port Arthur and was once the convict prison for boys. We’ll be helping to protect and restore this heritage site.

We have great Coastcare projects on Perth’s iconic beaches – help us look after our coasts!

In Queensland, our Friends of Parks projects are proving popular – help out with maintenance of the Conservation Park at Cape Pallarenda Quarantine Station near Townsville, help us create habitat for tree kangaroos at the David Fleay Wildlife Park, or join us for a Marine Debris Survey at Gladstone to help clean up rubbish and remove introduced weeds from an urban creek.

In New South Wales, there are lots of opportunities including creek restoration projects in the Illawarra, improving important bird habitat on the Hunter River. In Sydney, our regular program at Sydney Park is always popular – join us and help out with weeding, or park and visitor surveys.

Victorian volunteers can be a part of our one-day adventure to Kinglake and explore the beautiful eucalyptus forest, or help with the O'Keefe Rail Trail Clean Up project in Bendigo. If you love the beach, join us at Buckley Park, along the foreshore between Ocean Grove and Point Lonsdale to identify and remove some weed species.

In South Australia, join our Friends of Patawalonga Creek helping with seed collection, planting, weed control and surveys, or assist with a range of seasonal research activities including wombat warren surveys, bat surveys and vegetation surveys at Brookfield Conservation Park.

New Zealand
Join our Auckland volunteers helping to restore the habitat and ecological values of the Weiti River and maintaining the 13,000 new plants along the river. Volunteers can also get involved with our Connecting People to Parks program and experience a variety of activities and park locations, helping to bring biodiversity back to the central parks of Auckland.

In the South Island, be part of an adventure along the beautiful West Coast, focusing on habitat restoration of coastal land adjacent to Paparoa National Park. Volunteers will help out with a variety of tasks in a stunning location- including tree planting, seed collection and removal of weeds.
