THE CHIEFS OF DJITIMOU GATHER TO SUPPORT YEAH SAMAKE

This past week there was an extremely important gathering in the village of Ferekoroba, Mali. The chiefs of the 72 villages of Djitimou gathered to discuss how they could better support Yeah's candidacy.

A little back history: Yeah Samaké was born in Ouélessébougou and currently serves there as its Mayor. Ouélessébougou is one of the villages of the many villages that make up the area of Djitimou. In a village, the chief of the village is considered the guide and elder of the village and gaining their support is essential to gaining the villagers support. Each village can contain about 5,000 to 15,000 villagers. Hence, getting the support of the Chief of the village is essential to the success of the campaign. When we go into villages, one of our main stops is the Chief of the village. Their blessing ensures the success of the campaign in that village.

So it is in this sense, that the Chiefs of the villages of Djitimou gathered. One of the chiefs advised that Yeah Samaké is the son of the villages and for the first time, a son of Djitimou has the chance to represent his people at the Presidential palace. For the first time, the concerns and hopes of the children in the village can reach the presidential doors. The chief continued to stress that it is essential that the chiefs rally up the villages in support of Yeah Samaké, the son who has already given much to his area in terms of employment, clean water, education and clean energy. Another chief also advised that his ancestors had talked about the day when a child of Djitimou would become the President and he believes that time is now!

Hearing these chiefs rally for Yeah Samaké is encouraging. These chiefs are very respected individuals and their support of Yeah makes attaining our destination very promising. We will continue our travels into the many villages of Mali, because these are the areas that hold the majority of the population, and the ones that need the most help.

Support is growing rapidly in Mali. Have you seen the PACP Mali Facebook Page? “Like” it for close-to-home updates on the campaign in Mali (it may be in French, but we can all understand the universal language of pictures).

JOIN THE MALI MOMENT!

We are making leaps and bounds campaigning in the far corners of Mali.  As the elections draw closer, we need to increase the meetings in distant villages to ensure that all voters in Mali can make an informed choice.

As our youth and supporters continue to spread the word throughout Mali, they need the resources to share this message. Realistically, Yeah cannot travel to every village (often at least 4-10 hours away) to share his vision. They would like to use tablets (like the Samsung Galaxy 7.0) to download the videos and take them around to the rural villages to share the message of hope and change. A tablet costs about $200. Invest $200 today to help PACP spread the word to every corner of Mali.

Each and every day, this campaign makes a new breakthrough, whether it is in terms of new supporters or new party subsections, the support we receive in Mali has been unbelievable and amazing. It confirms to us that Malians are seeking a change from the old, corrupt leaders and looking for a young leader to lead Mali.

Also, this campaign would not be successful without the generosity of so many individuals. Thank you for your support! We need your help TODAY! Don't delay. Mali needs your investment today! And that starts with helping us raise our voices for YEAH SAMAKE in all the regions of MALI.
