I've re-written this four five times.
(Note to self: Don't go so long between newsletters.)
I have so many ideas for
The Perfect Newsletter that I haven't written any.
Possible topics, half-written and rejected:
-
Adjusting to being a mom and feeling like a sham because my normal healthy habits have gone out the window
-
Friends calling me during existential crises so I can "talk them off the ledge"
-
A conversation I had with my hairstylist about self-care (like letting someone watch your baby so you can get a haircut!)
-
Identity, expectations, and control
All good topics, but perhaps a bit large for me to tackle concisely when sleep-deprived.
Then I stumbled across this (author unknown).
This missive may not even be excellent, and it's definitely not perfect, but it's a first step. That first step is always the hardest.
Where are you feeling stuck, Sunshine? What's your first step? What's keeping you from taking it?
P.S. In case you missed it: I recently posted two very disparate recipes on the blog.
