Home Nations 2013 - #HN2013 - taps off on the 21st of June in Dublin. The ETA is proud to announce that it will be taking 8 elite squads to the tournament, hosted by the Ireland Touch Association. Full squad listings can be accessed via each team's logo above. Congratulations to all those selected and best wishes for the competition. A dedicated #HN2013 newsletter with photographs and stories from the event will follow soon. In the meantime, keep up to date with the latest news and results from the tournament on the ITA's Facebook Page and also on the ITA's #HN2013 dedicated website.
England Men's 35s squad Assistant Coach and player, Nathan Joyce, (pictured bottom row, far left) takes us down memory lane with an inspiring interview on how much Touch has evolved in England since this photograph of a British entry into the 'All Nations' tournament held in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 2005.
ETA, In2Touch & RFU O2 Touch Partnership
The ETA, In2Touch, and the RFU now have a formal partnership agreement that aims to expand our sport of Touch, with rugby, into previously uncharted territory. Exciting plans are afoot to grow awareness of our sport and widen participation levels. See the official press release which includes statements from the ETA's President, Gregg Cropper; RFU's Head of Rugby Growth, Alastair Marks; and In2Touch Managing Director, Mike Abromowitz. Never before has there been a more exciting time to be involved with Touch!
England Touch Medical Team for #HN2013
Keep up to date with the latest news articles from the England Touch medical team here. The ETA's Head of Medical Services, Cari Thorpe, (pictured above) has finalised our medical team for 2013, which can be viewed under the ‘Medical’ element of the ETA’s Executive Board section. We take this opportunity to wish our new medical team members a warm welcome to the ETA.
Entries into CTS Round 3 in Widnes (near Liverpool) are still open, but for a limited time only. The tournament will be hosted by Halton Touch, who are keen to host all the willing on a great post-tournament social in Liverpool.
The ETA welcomes its newest affiliates, Mawsley Touch, to the England Touch scene. Are you in the Northampton area and looking for a club to play Touch at this Summer? Send your enquiries to Mawsley Touch (near Kettering) via the Mawsley Touch website or visit their dedicated page on Facebook. We hope to see Mawsley Touch at an ETA Challenge Touch Series (CTS) tournament soon.
Three from four National Touch Series (NTS) rounds have been played so far, with two from four played in the Challenge Touch Series (CTS). A full round up of the current NTS and CTS results so far can be found at the ETA's Sporting Pulse Tournament Portal. The series finals for NTS and CTS (top 8 CTS teams only) will be hosted in Bristol on the 27th of July.
