How to Pray

Fatigue - we're getting to that point in the week where the tiredness is catching up. Pray for physical, emotional, and spiritual strength. Pray for patience with each other.

Safety - we've had several people not feeling well or getting minor injuries. Please pray for quick and complete healing for Keita, Andrew, and Lindsey.

Support - pray for traveling and local (churches, missionaries, etc) support staff as they cook, feed, and house us.

Tracting - pray for continued favor with authorities and for receptive students.

Rallies - pray for each Hi-BA staff that is giving a message; that students would respond to the Gospel.

Follow-up - pray for local Hi-BA staff and churches that follow-up with students.

Families - pray for staff spouses and children as they also make sacrifices this week for the ministry.

Special Prayer Request - Shibukawa

Shibukawa, also known as the "belly button of Japan," is a town deep in tradition and historically a spiritual stronghold of the enemy. There have been 3 churches in town for over 60 years, and still only a combined total of about 45 believers. Gospel Team has served in Shibukawa for about 15 years. Pray that this would be the time that God breaks through the spiritual darkness and many move from darkness to light, from death to life. Wouldn't it be just like God to start a movement of turning to him with a group of humble high school kids. I'm praying for one influential student at a key high school to come to Christ today and start something that we'll look back on and say, "Only God could have done that!" Pray with me!

On the way to hand out fliers... who wouldn't want to accept one from these guys?

Yokkaichi Rally

- by Philip

Yesterday's rally at Yokkaichi was awesome! 5 new people came to the rally, 1 of which was from tracting. One raised their hand to accept Christ (yayness), and the rest showed interest in wanting to learn more about Jesus and they each met regulars [Hi-BA students] that they could stay in contact with. So awesome! There was a lot of Jesus talk happening during the small group time after the rally. Please pray for those planted seeds to be watered and for strength for today's rally!

Flier Distribution

Today [Wednesday] we handed out at least 600 flyers! We had a great time and all of the students from 4 different schools were receptive. A lot of them talked to us in English and gave us high-fives. I think we successfully made their day! We only had 4 flyers left. Everyone did a great job. Please pray for the high schoolers that we talked to. Please pray for my teammates and for the Kansai Hi-BA staff. Also, we've been "on the go" and are in need of some quality team time - pray that we would get this soon. Thanks!

Team East (Kanto)

Shibukawa

Praise God that we were granted permission from the local police to distribute fliers on the main street in town and by one of the high schools this morning. Students were incredibly friendly for the most part. Pray that it wouldn't end with friendliness, but that they would be drawn by the Holy Spirit to seek truth and life. Pray for Hi-BA Staff Ai Tomabechi.

Yokohama Rally

Members of Team East were encouraged when so many students showed up to the Yokohama rally without any flier distribution! Some locations are experimenting this year with not distributing fliers and instead relying on regular Hi-BA students to pray and invite their friends.

One girl specifically thanked the team for their skit, saying that she had just experienced something similar to what was portrayed in the skit. We're praying the message communicated to her heart, as well!
