What an encouraging and challenging scripture! As our family is in the middle of transition once again, it is so easy to let the tasks that we need to accomplish or the worries of the day take away our joy and dim our light. What a reminder for us to remember our identity in Christ and His finished work on the cross which has set us free and made each of us lights in a dark world. If we don't "shine" how will the world know that we are children of the Father of Lights?
Join us in asking God to shine through each of us as sons and daughters of the King of Kings! May all that each of us say and do bring glory to our Father.

We truly serve the most high God! Thank you for partnering with us through prayer and financial support. We are now at 95% of our needed monthly support!
We currently have 53% of our departure and vehicle budget. Our plane tickets have been purchased, and housing secured! We continue to pray for special gifts toward departure and one time set up costs. God is moving! He is opening doors for less expensive airfares as well as more favorable exchange rates for the purchase of a vehicle in Burkina Faso. Please pray that the remaining amount needed for our set up costs will arrive prior to our departing the U.S. in August.
Please pray with us, as we are down to our last 66 days before our August departure date! Pray that God will continue to open doors for us to speak in more churches, and that we would faithfully share our family's story and the needs among the Jula.

My favorite color is dark green and my favorite food is filet mignon. (I have only had it once but it was a life changing experience!) My favorite dessert is Apple Rum Cake or ice cream (mint-n-chip) and I love cherry coke.
My favorite book is The Last Jihad by Joel Rosenberg. My favorite movie is The Lord of the Rings. My favorite weather is cold and dry. My favorite music is country. My favorite animal is a warthog. I love being outside and love to hunt and fish.
I’m very excited to get to Burkina. I am also excited to go to France because of the food and I’ll be able to spend my birthday there! The hardest part is leaving family and the comforts of America.

We had a blast at Atlantafest 2013! 4 Days of great music and meeting new friends. We sold lots of Threads of Hope bracelets to raise funds for families in the Philippines and our departure costs.
