Maestro Giunta and the Orchestra will perform patriotic favorites complete with the area’s premier fireworks display over the downtown skyline. This free event is perfect for the whole family. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets -- or purchase food from a variety of vendors like Iowa Machine Shed, Dahl's Foods and more.
New this year: Vote for your favorite "Oh Say, Can You Sing?" competition finalist now through noon, Friday, June 21! The winner will sing the National Anthem before an anticipated crowd of 100,000 at the Des Moines Symphony's 20th annual Yankee Doodle Pops. |

Celebrate our nation’s independence in style at the Des Moines Symphony’s premier fundraising event: The Viewing Party for Yankee Doodle Pops! You’ll be treated to a gourmet picnic meal, a VIP view of the concert and fireworks, plus premium reserved parking.
