CAROLINE MACGILLIVRAY ... From: Vancouver, BC. Born and raised. 5th generation Vancouverite. Work: Founder & Executive Director of the volunteer-run Beauty Night Society. Also writer, producer, radio show host, speaker.
Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
A: Watching people's eyes light up when they realize they are capable of doing things they didn't believe were possible. Having fun and creating spaces where people get to play and feel healthy.
Q.What was your experience doing the jumping photos?
A: Fun! Went back to ballet roots and got to play. Got brave and did photos in bathing suit!
Q: What inspires you in life?
A: Collaborating with creative people to co-create empowered communities full of friendship, laughter and joy!
Q: What is your greatest passion?
A: Finding love and encouraging people to find love in their lives - in their friendships, work, relationships and communities.
Q: What is your driving force?
A: It is possible to change the world and have an amazing time doing it!
Q: What is your philosophy?
A: If people have hope, they can believe change is possible. To quote Henry Rollins: "Don't Drive in the Middle Lane of Life."
Q: If you could do anything in the world?
A: Already doing it - but would like to collaborate to create healthy communities full of empowered people all around the world.
Q: What are you working on?
A: Trying to raise money to serve 250 impoverished women and youth every week in the lower mainland. http://beautynight.org/caroline/ Can tune into Sexy in Vancity Radio on 101.9FM CITR on Wednesday nights at 10pm.
Q: Mini bio, interesting facts about you or something special you want to share.
A: Caroline is the founder and executive director of Beauty Night Society. Beauty Night is an award - winning registered charity that provides programs to build self esteem and change lives for impoverished women and youth. In 12 years Beauty Night has given over 26, 000 makeovers.
