Welcome to the start of summer and the best road tripping weather of the season.

• An important note on your invoice from last month.  Last month we encountered a problem where some vehicles were not setup to charge the correct PVRT.  We corrected this problem but it has added a little to some member's April invoices.  If you see your April invoice is a $1 or $2 higher than what you were sent last May 15 it would be due to this problem.  Please contact the office if you have any concerns on this issue.

• We are still in need of a few more vehicle cleaners for Nelson.  If you are interested please contact the office.
• New vehicles in the fleet.  Check out our latest addition, 2007 Kia Magnetis in Nelson and the 2001 Dodge Caravan in Revy.
• We would like to remind members that as a member you can only book one carshare vehicle at a time.  Please do not book two vehicle for the same time as this takes a vehicle out of the fleet.
• The KCC is setup at the downtown Wednesday market for the next three weeks.  Drop by and say hi if you are around.  We are sharing a booth with Nelson Cares and Earth Matters.
• We are asking all members to update their address in the KCC website, (you can do this under the tab "My Account" once you log in) We are developing a Goggle mapping system so we can map all members on a Goggle map.  This application is proving useful for placement of vehicle in our various branch locations.  Also soon we will have a link to this interactive map so members can see other member locations for vehicle overnight bookings.

Reminders.

• Please fill the vehicles with gas if you can and the min is a 1/2 tank of gas upon return.  This helps all members and the carshare run smoothly.
• The Scrapt-It program has reduced it's car-share credit again, now the credit stands at $550.  Still a great program but now just a little less credit.
• We would like to remind all members if you find something left in the vehicles it would be great if you could let the office know so we can reconnect the item with the owner.
• Please remember that a minimum booking on a Carshare vehicle is 1/2 hour. You cannot book a vehicle for 1/4 of an hour due to our 1/4 hour grace period.
• Please fill out your logs clearly.  With new staff coming on board it will help a lot as he is getting used to all the members.  This includes filling out your first and last name, start and end times and signing your gas receipts.  Thank you!
• Reminder about reporting vehicle damage: if the damage is serious give us a call in the office (250-352-2033 or 250-509-2002 for the emergency cell).  If you report an issue in the log book we won't know about it until the 10th of the following month!  For larger issues we'd like to know sooner than that so we can get it fixed.
• We are participating in Community Dollars, you can pay for 5% of your Carshare bill in local currency
