Summer 2013

Welcome!

Enjoy our very first Newsletter!  We want to thank each and every one of you for your support as this has allowed the AAH Light to grow by leaps and bounds every day.  We have far exceeded our expectations for the first six months and we appreciate you for this!

We want this newsletter to offer you helpful information and we welcome your comments and feedback as we refine this.  We plan to include helpful hints, announce upcoming events, and share a testimonial or two with each newsletter.

What is New?

Since the launch of the AAH Light, we have had the opportunity to meet many of you at one of the numerous events we have attended.  Among other highlights, we are a proud sponsor of the Boise Valley Cutting Horse Association and have partnered with Martin Cutting Horses from Bellevue, Idaho whom we always enjoy seeing at our cutting shows.  (Ps, congratulations Scott and Darcy on your wedding and recent announcement!)

Did you know that if you have purchased an AAH Light Package from us, you are automatically enrolled in our BONUS REFERRAL PROGRAM!  What does that mean?  That means that when you share your AAH Light with your friends and family and they purchase a package for themselves, we send you a check for $50!  You are already enrolled in this program so all you need to do in contact our Customer Service Department to get your coupon code.  When they check out and use your code, you get either a check from us or a credit to be used on future purchases.  It is your choice, we are glad to accommodate!

About the AAH Light

What is all the fuss about anyway?
Well, let’s start with the ability to have THREE power settings in one light for one affordable price.  This offers much more flexibility than a single setting light as at the touch of your thumb, you can advance the setting from 100mW to 250mW or even all the way up to the 500mW setting.  Why is that important?  While there are many times that the low setting is all the power you will need, there are those other occasions where a stronger light will get in and get the job done a little faster.

So when do I use the different power settings?
We like to use the lowest setting any time we are working on our acupressure points as they reside just below the surface of the skin and there is no need to stimulate them with a strong power of light.  In fact, a high power light will most likely shoot right past the point you are looking to influence.

We like to use the higher settings on the AAH Light when we are working on tight muscle tissue or areas of inflammation.  This light does have a larger area of influence and therefore takes less time to get the job done.

What else is exciting?
We use a rechargeable battery that is a workhorse!  This battery has overcharge and undercurrent protection and is memory free.  So far, the shortest time I have had someone tell me the recharge the battery is 7-10 days and others that do not use their light daily on patients, only charge it every month or so.  To add to that, you will get around 500 charges out of this battery so you will not need to replace this battery for a very long time – perhaps years.

Is that all? No it isn’t!
We also designed the AAH Light to use interchangeable colored heads.  This is a great feature as you are able to minimize your investment while adding the other color heads – blue or ultra violet, to your toolbox.  To find out when and why you would use these additional colors, please visit our website at AAHLight.com.

What can you look forward to?

Good News!  We get asked all the time if we have any training available so we are excited to let you know we are working on some short handouts and videos to get you started.  We are also developing an ON-LINE COURSE and hope to have that released this fall.  Your input is important so if there is something in particular you would like to have included, please let us know.
Spot Light Condition - COLIC
We’ve all had that moment when we realize our horse has a stomach ache.  When recognized early this can be treated quickly and effectively with the AAH Light.  Here are some of our favorite Colic points:
  • GV26
  • ST2
  • LI1
  • BL20-21
  • CV12
  • ST25
  • ST36
  • ST45
  • GV1
Give this a few minutes to settle in and repeat if necessary.

Featured Testimonial –
"On Friday night I noticed one of my horses was not out in the pasture eating with the other two.  She was actually lying down in the pen and I knew that meant she wasn’t feeling well.  I watched her for a couple minutes and though she wasn’t stressed, she would lay flat and then sit up again.  I recognized this as the beginning signs of Colic so I took the AAH Lights out to the pen and asked her to get up.  I then proceeded to work on her Colic points and as soon as I hit ST36 on her right side, she looked at me, moved off and I could hear the gut sounds.  She then proceeded to walk over to the corner of her pen and released.   The entire incident lasted no more than 15 minutes and she was good to go.  I was very grateful for the AAH Light and how easy it was to use this.  Saved a vet call and several hundred dollars!"  Jackie R.
