June 7 "Newcomer Welcome" First Friday
Be sure to join us for our 2nd First Friday of the year this Friday at Rama Swim & Racquet Club. We got off to a great start last month thanks to Dan Johnson's fabulous hospitality and a great turnout.
This month, we especially want to welcome neighborhood newcomers -- so if you're new to Stonehaven or know someone who is, please be sure to come or bring them along! Just bring an appetizer and something to drink. Important: No glass bottles are allowed, so be sure to bring wine-in-a-box or drinks in plastic containers! Also, all First Fridays are weather-permitting only, canceled for rain or if severe weather is forecast.
See you at Rama Swim & Racquet Club. The entrance is at 6109 Wheeler near the corner of Charing Place. The wisteria-covered wood deck will be reserved for us, compliments of the club.

If you read the front page article recently in the Charlotte Observer, you'll already be familiar with hiker and Stonehaven resident Trevor Thomas and his guide dog Tennille. Trevor is currently hiking the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, a nearly 1,000 mile trek. Trevor's accomplishments are heroic and, appropriately, Tennille has been entered in the 2013 American Humane Society's Hero Dog Awards in the Guide Dog category. She needs your votes!!! If she wins, she will earn money for Guide Dogs for the Blind. You can vote daily through July 30. Click here to vote for Tennille! Click here to check on Trevor's hike through his website and follow him on Facebook. Trevor, good luck from all your Stonehaven neighbors!!!!
