Note: This message is intended for certified CHDOs operating in Southern California.
Registration is now open for the CHDO Summit training, which will be offered on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm PDT. Sponsored by HUD's Los Angeles Field Office, the training will take place at the Los Angeles branch of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank, 950 South Grand Avenue, Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90015.
The CHDO Summit will help CHDOs understand ongoing changes in the HOME program, especially those pertaining to CHDO-related regulations, and allow CHDOs to proactively address their capacity building needs and sustainability in the changing environment.
This interactive discussion-based summit, augmented with clinic sessions, will address recent and proposed changes to the HOME program relative to designating and funding CHDOs. HUD staff and technical assistance providers will make brief presentations and lead discussions around:
-
What is known now about recent HOME changes
-
What can be projected about future HOME changes
-
What can be done now to adjust and prepare
-
What program participants still need to learn
