Foodie Friday at Monday Night Brewing

Monday Night Brewing is having our second Foodie Friday this week! 5-8PM on June 7th. $10 gets you a pint glass. You'll get 6 beer tastings and a brewery tour.

Bring some cash for some eats from Good Food Truck and sweet treats from High Road Craft Ice Cream. Plus live music from Parker Smith and the Bandwith! Come out and support local!

Movie Night in the Gordon's Driveway: Grease

On Friday June 14th we'll be showing the movie Grease in our driveway. All neighbors are welcome to join us - especially if you're don't mind hearing others sing loudly.

Place: Gordon's Driveway (6 White St.)
Bring: Drinks, snacks, chairs, Grease lyrics - men please slick back your hair (ok, optional) ;)

There will be a popcorn machine on hand, and we *may* have a cotton candy machine too.

For those thinking about bringing kids, here's a quick review on the movie's contents so you can decide if it's age appropriate.

Fire Station Open House

This Saturday, June 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. there will be an Open House at Fire Station 23 at 1545 Howell Mill Road. Hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, drinks and giveaways will be provided. We will have lots of fun activities for kids and adults alike, plus great information on fire safety and the programs that the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department provides for the city of Atlanta.

Come on out and meet the firefighters who serve out community and thank them for the great job they do for us! Get your picture taken with a real hero!

Show Choir Camp for Kids

Hi everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know about a summer camp that I run each summer. For those of you that don't know me, I am a piano/voice teacher who lives in Underwood Hills (Harper St). I also conduct and manage the Buckhead Girls Choir (for any aspiring singers out there...).

The Summer Show Choir camp will be June 10th-14th and June 17th-21st. You can enroll in either week individually ($300) or both weeks ($500). The ages for week one are 8-18 and the ages for week 2 are 6-18. Camp begins at 9:30 AM at in room #4311 at Peachtree Presbyterian Church. Each day, we learn 3 songs and dances in a different genre (rock and roll, broadway, country, pop, etc...) and at 2:00, we move to a performance venue (food truck park, malls, parks, other summer camps...) for a performance every day at 2:30 PM. Lunch, snack and a camp t-shirt are provided.

If you'd like more information, just shoot me an e-mail and I can either e-mail you more information or you can stop by and pick up a brochure. There are still plenty of spots open and every year we have a blast!

DEFOOR STATION (Ashkouti Development)

The City of Atlanta Zoning Review Board (ZRB) approved the Defoor Station rezoning on May the 9^th with all of Underwood Hills Neighborhood Associationâ€™s requested rezoning conditions.

QUICK TRIP

The City of Atlanta Board of Zoning Adjustments (BZA) deferred the Quick Trip Parking Variance until June the 13^th due to the strong opposition shown by UHNA and Berkley Park.

NPU-D May 28^th Meeting

The City of Atlanta Public Works is getting ready to start improvements for the intersection of Marietta Boulevard and Bolton Road. This will include an extension of Moores Mill Road to Marietta Boulevard, the permanent closing of Adams Drive at Marietta Boulevard, and the upgrading of a private road way to City Standards.
Fire Station 28 will have its Grand Opening on June the 6^th at 10:00am at 1925 Hollywood Road Atlanta, GA 30318. The public is welcome to stop by and see the new station.
