UAE Provides Gift to Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund


UAE Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba joined New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and First Lady Mary Pat Christie at Highlands Elementary School in Highlands, New Jersey to announce the UAE's latest donation to disaster stricken communities in the US, a $4.5 million donation to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. The gift will be directed to 30 public schools across nine districts to repair and enhance technology infrastructure destroyed by Superstorm Sandy. Learn More >

US Institute of Peace Launches Sheikha Fatima Lectureship Series


The United States Institute of Peace (USIP),  through a generous donation from HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi, recently hosted the inaugural Sheikha Fatima Lecture which highlighted women as “Messengers of Peace.” The event featured HE Noura Al Kaabi, CEO, twofour54 ; Abigail Disney, filmmaker; Margo Wallstrom, former Special Representative to the UN Secretary-General on Sexual Conflict in Conflict and Tara Sonenshine,  Undersecretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, US Department of State. Prominent Emirati Women Visit Washington and New York


delegation of influential Emirati women from government, business and the media visited Washington, DC and New York City to commemorate the UAE’s participation at the UN Women’s annual Executive Board meeting. During their visit, the women met with their counterparts in government and business to discuss leadership roles held by women in the UAE and create connections that will strengthen UAE-US relations and promote gender empowerment and equality. Learn More >

UAE Embassy Continues Outreach Across the US to Deepen Cultural and Commercial Ties

Embassy diplomats recently visited Pittsburgh, PennsylvaniaColumbus and Akron, Ohio,  and Nashville, Tennessee, where they met with local government officials, community leaders, businesses and students to educate them on the UAE-US bilateral relationship and discuss ways to enhance trade and economic activity. Boston Police Department (Official) hosts a delegation from Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. to discuss bilateral cooperation, joint operations and exchange invitations to participate in emergency training exercises in California and the Abu Dhabi Medical Congress – Healthcare Exhibition and Conferences, organized by the Abu Dhabi Police Directorate in cooperation with the Emergency and Disaster Medicine Section at Harvard Medical School in December.
