Overlay Hearing

On July 15, the City Commission will consider the the proposed Laurel Park Overlay at a public hearing during the evening session beginning at 6:00 PM (1565 First Street.)
On March 29, the Laurel Park Overlay was approved by the Planning Board by a 3 to 2 vote. This version of the Overlay is a City-proposed compromise which allows public input while still preserving administrative approval. Although the compromise does not provide the full Planning Board process which the neighborhood originally asked for, the LPNA Board believes that this is a meaningful solution which enhances the likelihood of compatible development on our borders.
