We’ve been hard at work here at Blue Letter Bible putting together some excellent Bible study resources that have served the body of Christ for hundreds of years!

Historically, the Creeds, Catechisms, and Confessions have been of immense spiritual benefit for Christians. To be sure, these documents do not replace the authority of Scripture itself; but because of their sound biblical teachings, they continue to aid us as much today as they did for our forefathers in centuries past. Creeds (from the Latin word “credo” which means “I believe”) are miniature statements of faith; summaries of core beliefs. Catechisms are manuals of Christian doctrine, written in a question-and-answer format with many supporting verse references. Confessions are written in essay style and organized according to subject, complete with verse proofs to reinforce your study of God’s word.
