This month's Cookbook roundup introduces 21 new books that have just been published in the United States, Great Britain, Australia, and New Zealand. Plus Susie opines on the hot trends for the month - canning & pickling, raw food and detox, and superfoods among others. Check out all the new arrivals.
We're so proud to announce that The Daily Beast has awarded us one of their Best on the Web Awards. Given that we're on our way to 1,000,000 indexed recipes (over 900,000 and counting) we modestly have to agree that our site is pretty fabulous.
William Sitwell describes himself as "a writer, editor (of [the indexed magazine] Waitrose Kitchen), and presenter who can't stop eating." He talked to us about the unique approach behind his new book, A History of Food in 100 Recipes. Meet this special British author here, plus, to win one of three free copies of his book, comment here.
Our newly indexed blog this month is Cook Sister. Written by Jeanne Horak-Druiff, a "proud South African" transplanted to London, the blog deals with "food, photos, and faraway places." And why the name "Cook Sister"?- it's a revised spelling of "koeksister," a deep-fried South African pastry.
