Splashpath News
Dear <<First Name>>

Introducing the new Splashpath. Now called Speedo Fit.

A while back we wrote to tell you about our partnership with Speedo International Limited and the new app we've been working on. Well, we're pleased to say that after a lot of sweat and a few tears the new Splashpath app will launch shortly!

Everything people love about the old Splashpath will still be there (including their swim history!) and it will still be free to use - but the app has had a serious make-over.

First and foremost you will notice a new icon and a new name, Splashpath will now be called Speedo Fit (see below for more info about Speedo Fit). On top of this we’ve taken on board all your feedback and lovingly re-designed and rebuilt the swimming app experience to make it more enjoyable, more intuitive and hopefully more motivating to use. We hope you like it.

Check out some of the improvements in the all-new Speedo Fit app below.

We've completely redesigned the home screen to show essential swim stats and challenge progress the moment the app is opened!

Many people asked for a way to add historical swims and we're pleased to say now you can with the new "Log a Swim" design.

The entire swim history is now available with just one swipe from your dashboard

We hope you enjoy the other improvements and a few surprises you'll see in the new app when it’s available. This update is just the start too! We've got lots of great improvements in the the pipeline so watch this space.

Thanks for supporting Splashpath and welcome to Speedo Fit.

Some questions you may have...

When will the update happen?
We've submitted the app to Apple for approval, so it should be available in the App store sometime this week. We’ll let you know once it goes live.

Will you provide any promotional materials?
Absolutely, now we’ve got the app ready, we’ll work on this and send you details as soon as they’re ready.

We’re using Splashpath branding on our website/printed materials – what will our customers find if they go to Splashpath.com or search for Splashpath in the app store?
In the future www.splashpath.com will change but for the time being the site will remain broadly as it is today. If one of your customers searches for 'Splashpath' on the App Store they will still find the swimming app and the app description will clearly talk about Splashpath's transition to Speedo Fit.

How will people get the new app?
When the new app is approved users will be prompted to update the new version from the App Store (they’ll see a little red flag on the Splashpath icon - just like the normal updates that other apps push out from time to time). All their swim history and favourite pools will appear in the updated app, so they won’t lose anything. Once they’ve downloaded the update, it will now be called Speedo Fit and have a new red icon!

Can people still check local pool swimming times?
Yes of course. Users will find favourite pools by tapping the swimming pools link from their profile. As long as pool operators provides them, they appear in the app.

What will happen to users swim history, favourites and personal data?
All data including swim history, favourite pools, profile information will stay the same. When the new app is ready users just need to do a standard app update.

When will you be launching an Android version?
It’s a massive priority for us and work is about to start. We’ll keep you posted.

Will you now start charging for the app?
Absolutely not.

Will you now start charging for the Timetable service?
Absolutely not. Our standard swimming timetable service has always been free and we’ve no intention of changing that.

What's new in the app?
We've completely redesigned and rebuilt the app to make it easier and faster to use. Users will find personal swim statistics on a new dashboard home page the moment they open the app, instead of hidden away. A new swim recorder so users can add (and edit) historical swims, amend pool lengths and create custom pools which can even be used to record open water swims. All the favourite features like pool timetables and swim challenges can be found in the updated app too along with many other design and usability improvements. This is just the start! We've got loads of exciting new features coming soon.
