The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing honors young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. Award applicants represent a rich source of talent and offer a unique opportunity for NCWIT members to encourage their ambitions.
The Award for Aspirations in Computing Affiliate program is hosted by local teams of NCWIT member organizations and can serve an entire state, a region, or a metro area. Affiliate host organizations receive a complete toolkit for implementing the Aspirations Award and access to the NCWIT online award application system.
Nearly 11,000 young women interested in technology fields have been identified through the Award application process since 2007. Applications have been received from all 50 U.S. states, as well as Puerto Rico and several overseas military schools.
