Things are heating up out there and sitting in the cool shade is holding more and more appeal.  Think of the shop as another cool spot where you can come take a break -- just as much fun as the movies and no 3D glasses required.

We have new classes in the works as well as new arrivals in the shop that we hope will make us a frequent destination for you this month.  We can't wait to show you what's new as well as what we've been working on.  See you soon!

Jump Start your Holiday Knitting

Time flies, and summer days are more ephemeral than most.  With just 5 months left before the holiday season is upon us again; we thought a head start might make the next several months of gift knitting more leisurely and way more fun.  We have cooked up six projects for the next six months that will give you at least a half dozen fun knits and beautiful gifts.

This month's project is Eunny Chang's Endpaper Mitts.  These beautiful stranded mitts will be a treasured gift and perhaps something you may not want to give away. We have created kits with the pattern and two contrasting colors of Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere. These retail at $70.

If you are new to colorwork, we have a class that will walk you through the skills you need to complete the project.  All the supplies are included in the price of the class and details can be found on our website.  Give us a call at the shop to sign up! 970-407-1461.

Be sure to check our blog in upcoming months for details about each of our holiday kits as we introduce them at the beginning of each month.
Summer School

We have been working over the past several weeks to come up with some great new classes that we'll be holding from July through September,  that we hope will get you inspired to try some new techniques.  Here are some highlights:

We have designed a workshop that will get us all ready to knit sweaters.  Inspired by Amy Herzog’s new book and Craftsy class: Knit to Flatter, we are going to spend a fun evening taking body measurements, figuring out body types, and discussing design elements that will make the most of our beautiful features.

With those measurements, a limited number of students can sign up for our special punch card to work one-on-one with Kate over the next 6 months to create a sweater that will be a perfect fit!

On the 4th Saturday of each month, Julie will be holding a Crochet Clinic covering the basics of beginning crochet for those of you as eager to start as we are.

As always, you can sign up for our Private Tutorial Sessions.  These $35 hour classes can be scheduled at your convenience to provide you with one-on-one project support or skills clinics that will give you expert supervision for whatever you'd like to work on next.

Lastly, we are introducing a new policy that means we will be closing our class registration a week before class.  You’ll want to contact us right away to reserve your spot because our small class sizes may fill up quickly.

Project Linus needs yarn!

The terrific volunteer knitters for Project Linus need more yarn! Please send us or drop off your donations of cotton or acrylic yarn for Project Linus, so that the Fort Collins' chapter can keep making handmade blankets for hospitalized children in our area.

Call the shop if you have any questions about yarn in your stash that might fit the bill!  We are also a drop off location, so we would be pleased to gratefully accept your finished blankies as well.

Thanks for your help with this wonderful cause.

Deals of the Day:

Put these on your calendar, but be sure to check our blog for more details.

Each week we are offering a specific book at 30% off, and with the purchase of the book you can also save 30% on any in stock yarn you select to make any of the patterns included in their pages.
