Market News - June 22

Ahhh... those lovely warm days of summer are finally here (we hope!). And with the warm weather comes fresh Ontario produce and delicious prepared foods to our market. This week, try some garlic scapes lovingly grown by many of our farmers. We've found some great garlic scape recipes for you to try. Let us know if you have any favourite recipes for preparing your market goodies!

Speaking of recipes... Come and learn how to make strawberry-rhubarb jam in our first From Scratch Cooking Workshop of the season! Taught by our very own Christine Manning Canning, on Wed July 3rd. You can see all the details, & register & pay by charge card through Eventbrite, or register & pay by cheque or cash on Saturdays at the market info table (please note that a 50% nonrefundable deposit is required for this payment option). Please share widely with your contacts & bring (a) friend(s)!! Workshop cost is $50 per person.
