The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD) are pleased to announce the opening of registration for the first in a series of outreach webinars as part of the Moving CDBG Forward: TA and Program Outreach project.

In the past 25 years, there have been only two significant revisions to the CDBG program’s regulations. HUD’s recent experience with the Neighborhood Stabilization Program and CDBG Disaster Recovery grants have provided insight on ways to improve the core CDBG program to make it easier to administer and to improve grantee performance and accountability.

The purpose of these webinars is to solicit feedback from grantees and other stakeholders on obstacles they encounter in the CDBG program and whether solutions are best provided by technical assistance (TA) and training (through HUD’s OneCPD initiative) or by changes to the program itself.

These webinars will include a plenary session and four breakout sessions on different topics including Technical Assistance & Planning and Simplifying Activities & Participation. Participants will be required to register for one & only one breakout session, so please carefully consider which topics are most important to you and your organization. Registration is required to participate in these outreach sessions, so please register as quickly as possible.
