EXPECT GREAT THINGS FROM GOD; ATTEMPT GREAT THINGS FOR GOD -WILLIAM CAREY

The Jordans with Pastors Leonardo and Adriana Torres and family in Tuluá.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support! We could not be here without you.

God calls, but He uses the church to send. This is evident throughout the New Testament and this is the philosophy of missions that churches all over the world have used for centuries. At our missionary training school our focus is on preparing those God has called for work in a foreign culture, but this is only part of the equation.

Most weekends we travel throughout Colombia working on the other side of this biblical equation--teaching and encouraging Colombian churches to support both in prayer and finances these missionaries God has called.

The launching pad for missions is the local church. Since the beginning of this year we have been working with a church in the city of Tuluá to help them realize their potential in God's mission to reach every nation, tribe, and tongue. This year the church's faith promises for colombian missionaries has doubled and we believe this is just the beginning.
Seeing lives changed. Last month we shared a story of a young man who Ryan met in May that has struggled with suicide and "emotional disorders." We are excited to tell you that this young man has not had another "episode" or thought of suicide and that the change taking place is a testimony to God's love. He is looking forward to joining one of our small groups on the university campus when the new semester begins.

Pray with usThis week from July 19-26 seventy young people from youth groups all over Georgia will be coming to Armenia for a short term missions trip. This is both an incredible opportunity and incredible responsibility. We will be working with three of our local churches in school programs, a youth prison, with the homeless and many other areas around Armenia. Would you please pray with us during this next week that God uses this group to change lives and also that he protect each and every one of them.
