The Latest!

31 weeks along in my pregnancy...

God has been so faithful and as you can see in the photo above, the baby bump is definitely growing! We're privileged to be welcoming a little baby girl due to arrive October 1st and we've decided to name her Camila. We're praying every day for God to facilitate this process of growth and development and we can't wait to meet her!! :)

Life in general has been crazy lately and I wanted to ask you all to pray for Pepe this week as he's co-leading a missions trip to El Salvador from our local church. I decided to stay behind because of where I'm at in my pregnancy. They're working with King's Castle ministries and he's very involved in translating and helping coordinate the team. He left this past Monday and will return next Tuesday.

I've heard from him a couple of times and they've had amazing encounters with God and been able to minister through street evangelism to so many people! I'm excited to share stories with you all as soon as he returns! Please pray for safety as they've had a couple of run-ins with gang members and that God would provide diving appointments for each team member and that this week would facilitate a change in their lives and a greater passion for HIM!
Immigration

We've received confirmation that Pepe's case for citizenship was approved!! Such an answer to prayer!! We got an appointment for his oath ceremony for last week... However, we've decided to postpone the ceremony until after Camila comes because once he becomes a citizen we'll need to leave the country for our missions assignment within 45 days.

The reason is that we're using an expedited method for citizenship, which consists of using a clause for people like military personnel or missionaries that allows them to bypass an extended period of residency time as a requisite for citizenship. Pepe could get get citizenship very quickly, but with the condition of leaving for our missions assignment within a month and a half of the swearing-in ceremony.

We so grateful to be in the last leg of this journey after a process of over a year and a half for immigration and we're dreaming and planning about what the next step of our lives hold as we return to the mission field in Mexico in just a couple of months!
