Integration with Xero
Xero.com is a great online accounting program. Power Diary now integrates with Xero so that you can copy your clients, invoices and payments directly into your Xero Account. You'll find this under Tools >> Export to Xero. You still use Power Diary for managing all your invoicing and payment details as normal, however at the end of a given period (i.e. Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly) you can send your information directly to your Xero account. This will hopefully save you a lot of time by removing the need to re-enter invoices and payments.
There is setup information available here.
Client Portal Upgraded
The Client Portal has been upgraded and is now cleaner and easier to use. When clients log in they will also see your booking instructions display clearly in an alert box. (You can turn this off in your Client Portal setup if you prefer.) The Client Portal diary now also displays in weekly and group view which makes it easier for clients to identify available appointments.
Improved Diary Navigation
The headings in the diary are now active links which change the diary view. For example if you are in "All" view and click on the heading of a diary you will be taken to a weekly view of that particular diary. Similarly if you are in a weekly view and click on a day / date in the heading you will be taken to the "All" view for that day. This makes it easier and faster to navigate the diary.
Phone numbers Now Sent to Google Calendar
Client phone numbers are now copied to appointments in your Google Calendar. This makes it easier to call them directly from your Google or phone calendar.
Have SMS Replies Sent to a Communal Phone
You can now elect to have SMS replies forwarded to a communal mobile ("Text Message Reply Number"), instead of the mobile listed in the diary. To do this go to Setup >> Diaries and change "Forward Text Messages Received" to "Text Message Reply Number".
Invoices Now Emailed to Person Responsible for Payment
If you email an invoice, it is now sent to the person or company responsible for payment. This means that standard invoices are emailed to clients and invoices assigned to Third Parties are now invoiced directly to the Third Party. (Plus you'll notice the invoice number is now included in the text sent with the email so if a client replies you'll know which invoice they are referring to.)
Larger Files Can Now Be Uploaded
We have increased the size of files that can be uploaded in the Client Profile "Files" section to 20MB. It is still best though to keep your uploaded files as small as possible to minimise time taken to upload and download these.
New 'Past Appointments' Merge Field
You can now include a merge field "List all Past Appointments" into a Email / Letter template. This enables you to quickly send an email or generate a letter listing a client's appointment history without having to copy them manually from their profile.
Date Range Added to Client Classification Report
The Client Classification Breakdown report now has the option to search and display clients that were entered between during a date range of your choosing. This allows you to better evaluate the effectiveness of marketing that is geared at attracting specific client groups.
