Emergency aid for the soul: Syrious Mission brings music to Syrian refugee camp
A friend from UNICEF once called me: "We feed the Syrian children, but they need food for their souls as well. Please come and help us." I decided to go to Syria, and posted a message on Facebook: "Who cares to join me?" A few weeks later, we were a team of 14, involving a total of 500 both Syrian refugee children and local Jordanians in workshops. The results were impressive. Young boys, who at first showed hardly any expression on their face, opened up, participated and finally took the lead in our creative music performances.

"The Air We Breathe":
Uniting singers of contrasting cultures
I composed "The Air We Breathe" as an homage to the human voice. Professional singers of Bulgarian, Arabic, Classic, Jazz and Folk traditions came together with local choirs, young talent, and children to create a statement of inclusivity, connectedness and beauty.
