"Waking Hearts to Life"
I heard this song by Jeremy Riddle on the way home one day and it hit me--this is precisely what we at Urban Bible Outreach pray for with each Bible we send out. For the homeless man with his head in his hands under a bridge wondering where it all went wrong . . .for the mom whose children are asking why they can't go home (as they flee an abusive father). . .and for the young woman who is in the battle of her life with substances that wage war against her very will to live. We pray that God's love--a love that seeks us out, covers us and our sin, and offers us an eternal connection with our Creator--will reach the lost through these Bibles and that God's love will "wake hearts to life" in Him each and every time. Our hearts are spiritually dead (in our sin) until we trust in Christ and because God does not want "
anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9), he pursues us and rejoices over
even one lost one coming to Him (Luke 15).
A Girl and Her Purple Bible
I recently received an email from Seth Harrison of Christian Community Action in Lewisville. CCA received some of the LifeWay Bibles from Urban Bible Outreach this month after our Pack & Pray Fellowship. He wanted to share a touching story about a family whose children now had Bibles:
"Just a few minutes ago we had a family come in and we were able to give each of their children a brand new bible in each child’s favorite color. Red, green, and purple. The little girl said, 'I didn’t even know they made purple bibles!' The smiles said it all. Just wanted to share and let you know how your efforts are making a difference in so many lives in our community!"
Thank YOU!
Thank you to those who came to our 2nd Pack & Pray Fellowship this month! We packed for 6 organizations, prayed for those who would be receiving the Bibles, and brainstormed how Urban Bible Outreach can most effectively meet the Bible needs of our community. Please
email Leeann, our Volunteer Coordinator, if you would like to be informed of our future Pack & Pray Fellowships.
Thank you, also, to those who are linking their Tom Thumb (Randalls) Remarkable/Reward card to Urban Bible Outreach through our account number 13014. Simply by shopping and scanning your savings card, a percentage of your total goes to Urban Bible Outreach without you spending an extra dime!
Use the form at this link and bring it to your Tom Thumb today!
My last thank you goes to those who are asking their friends, neighbors, and family members to sign up for our newsletter. For the whole month of July, an anonymous donor is willing to donate $5 for every new Newsletter sign-up for up to 50 new sign-ups. There is still time!

Prayer Request
May I ask those of you whose organizations receive Bibles from us as well as those individuals and families who are supporting Urban Bible Outreach to
pray for an increase in support--for new and renewed interest in Urban Bible Outreach by those whose hearts are moved by God's Word? There is this ever-present need for Bibles and although our goal is to never turn away Bible requests, we are in a summer lull that makes it difficult to meet that need. So far, we have been able to provide Bibles for
every organization that comes to us with a request, so
keep those requests coming, and we will ask the Lord to continue to provide! Over the coming year, we would like to be able to reach out to
more organizations and let them know about Urban Bible Outreach, but we do not want to reach beyond our resources. As Urban Bible Outreach grows with your prayers and financial support, we can address the Bible needs at the dozens of other organizations we have not yet be able to reach out to due to limited, first-year resources.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
