Come foraging for edible & medicinal weeds with natural therapist Allan Wilton

Meet at Penguin Railway Station, Main Rd Penguin rain hail or shine. please arrive early 1:30 pm onwards for prompt 2 pm departure using your own transport to various wild and weedy sites followed by afternoon tea and tour of Allan’s medicinal herb garden in Leith, ends 5 pm. Allan’s now also the Astrotas secretary, responsible for the delicious zucchini butter and scones at many an Astro meeting. He leads a weed walk for us every year with a tour of what’s in season in his lovely herb garden – past lists of our finds. Gluten Free Baking Class

10am - 1 pm saturday 12th october at Penguin Highschool with Robin Ellenberger from Skyranch Bakehouse.

Learn to make three of her breads perfectly, and see demos of pastry and a delicious shortbread. Also previewing her new pumpernikel bread recipe! Each person will bake and take home three products of their choice.

Cost $75 members ( parent/child couple or lone adult ) Child must be primary school aged 8-13 and fully supervised. Only six places available! Non Members $10 surcharge.
