Why are you receiving this email newsletter?

Good Question. 2 Reasons.
1. You signed up to receive our prayer letter. This is the electronic form which will go out with more frequency than the paper form.
2. Your email address was in Jeremy's or Claudia's contact list which means our paths have crossed for one reason or another. We are just trying to get in contact with as many people as possible. If you don't want to receive this newsletter, no worries you can unsubscribe at the bottom of this email.

For those that haven't heard we are heading to Tsumeke, Namibia for a 2.5 year assignment with Africa Inland Mission as full time Missionaries to the SAN People.

Who are the San people?

The San are the oldest inhabitants of Southern Africa. The term San is commonly used to refer to a diverse group of hunter-gatherers living in Southern Africa who share historical and linguistic connections. Like the first people to inhabit other countries in the world, the San have an unfortunate history of poverty, social rejection, decline of cultural identity and the discrimination of their rights as a group. Yet, the San have also received the attention of anthropologists and the media with their survival and hunting skills, wealth of indigenous knowledge of the flora and fauna of Southern Africa, and their rich cultural traditions.

Why Go?

What if you depended on the land around you to provide everything?  What if you were told you could no longer follow the herds you have hunted for centuries?  What if you were unable to access the plants that have sustained you?  How would your life change?
The San need to know that someone loves and cares for them and wants to help them as they adjust. Ultimately share hope that only comes from Christ.
