Coming Up: Shamar Rinpoche’s Annual USA Teaching & Bodhi Path Organizational Meeting
Bodhi Path Natural Bridge
September 13-16, 2013
Empty of essence, luminous, creative—the nature of mind is impossible to describe with precision and yet the mind is the basis of every experience. Mahamudra guides the practitioner to realize the fundamental nature of mind and uses this recognition as the basis for benefiting others. The natural result is the blossoming of loving-kindness and compassion, which finds its expression in the profound yet accessible practice of Chenrezig. Take this wonderful opportunity to join Shamar Rinpoche in an intimate setting as he illuminates the realization of Mahamudra. Friday and Saturday all day, Sunday 10-12.
There will be a celebration Sunday evening at 6 pm with food and participatory entertainment. Family and friends are invited. Monday is the annual organizational meeting for Bodhi Path centers, from 10 am- 3 pm. We hope many of you will plan to attend and participate in the discussion.

The gift of Manis
Bodhi Path centers worldwide have made the commitment to collectively accumulate one hundred million recitations of the profound mantra,
Om Mani Padme Hung, from the practice of Chenrezig (Avalokiteśvara), the Bodhisattva of compassion. We offer this commitment in gratitude and complete support for H.H. the 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje's worldwide activity.
Currently our worldwide community of centers has accomplished approximately 17 million manis, and the number continues to grow.
To add your voice to this collective gift, please do the Chenrezig practice, count your mantra recitations and post them on the Facebook page that has been established for this purpose:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/bodhipathmanis/
If you’re not on Facebook, you can post your Manis via your local center or a friend. The Facebook group has become a tremendously inspiring forum. All individuals are warmly invited to join us in accomplishing this commitment.
Here is a map of the participants who have contributed to this worldwide. Very cool!
All centers and individuals are encouraged to participate in this commitment however they can. This not only helps our own and everyone else’s practice, it also enables us to realize that as fellow travelers on the path to awakening, we can support each other by being an active part of the worldwide Bodhi Path community. This is a wonderful opportunity to be a part of this joyful collective gift.
A Chenrezig practice book, in both Tibetan and English, can be ordered at: http://www.bodhipath.org/books. Instructions on how to properly conduct this practice are available at Bodhi Path centers.
Trinlay Rinpoche's North America Tour Continues
October & November 2013
Karma Trinlay Rinpoche continues his
"Spirit of Awakening" teaching tour of Bodhi Path centers in North America during the fall of 2013. During this tour, Rinpoche is providing a rare presentation of Shantideva's
Way of the Bodhisattva in its entirety. The first part of the tour, conducted last spring, covered foundational topics as well as the first three chapters of the text. The next stage covers chapters 4-8 and takes place in Calgary, Natural Bridge, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City.
Details can be found at:
http://www.bodhipath.org/trinlay2013/
Please check the website from time to time for possible schedule adjustments.
Given how rare it is to receive such comprehensive teachings, Bodhi Path centers have been capturing the teachings on video so that students everywhere can experience the complete program. Videos are made available on a donation basis, and your offerings help ensure that this project continues. Students may
register and view the videos, as well as make donations, via the Bodhi Path website.
