25 Years of Nurturing
the Bodhi Tree:

Many Lineages, Many Cultures,
One Dharma

The 25th International Buddhism Festival will include talks from the Theravada, Vajrayana and Mahayana traditions of Buddhism, meditation instruction, workshops, a children's program, cultural performances, and a shared meal. Everyone is welcome! This event is free of charge.

The Bodhi Tree
The Bodhi Tree (or Wisdom Tree) at Bodh Gaya is believed to be the place where Siddhartha Gautama, the spiritual teacher and founder of Buddhism, achieved enlightenment and became known as the Buddha circa 500 BCE. In religious iconography, the Bodhi tree is recognizable by its heart-shaped leaves, which are usually prominently displayed.
