English Camp
In July we travelled to Odessa region to meet up with a team from Will's home church and take part in an evangelistic English camp. It was such a treat for us to see old friends and to work side by side with them, while making many new friends. It was a very busy, exciting, exhausting two weeks! Every day at camp was filled with teaching Bible lessons to preschoolers (for me), leading Bible discussion with teens and adults (for Will), teaching multiple English classes, tons of fellowship and conversation, and even studying English (for our children). After the official camp ended we spent time in Odessa with the visiting team, the local church, and the campers, with the goal of getting the new believers and seekers tied into a church family.

Housing Search
Once we returned from Odessa and rested a little, we started thinking seriously about the details of our move to Kherson. I had said that I would really like to be there in time for the beginning of the school year. Of course, homeschooling is flexible, but it would still be easier not to have to work around a big move like this. Also, our current Dneprorudnoe landlord has started trying to sell this apartment, and having people coming and going to look at it was making me nervous. So, Will went to Kherson to start looking for a place for us to rent there. He worked hard, and found a duplex for us. After twelve years of apartment living, we're going to have a yard! And half of a little house! It's also located right in the same area of the city as the Agape office. We're very excited and grateful. (You can read about the housing search in Will's words on our blog.)

Church Camp
At the same time that Will was searching for housing in Kherson, the rest of us were involved in church day camp here. Once again, I taught the preschoolers (my favorite!). In the past, even though camp has been aimed at older children, the youngest group has been the biggest. This year was different, and I was actually a little relieved. The first day I had a tiny group, and it built until the last day, when ten little ones came. I enjoyed spending time with them, reading Bible stories, doing crafts, playing games, and everything else that camp offered. Bogdan and Asya were with me, and our older children happily participated in the next group up. A week later, they're still constantly talking about camp, and I'm seeing lots of familiar happy faces of other friends from camp every time we step outside.
