Of Carburetors and Seams ...
The first car I owned was a Dodge Dart — yes, a Swinger. I used to love working on cars, at least before they ran on computer chips. Everything in them made sense — there was a logic and even some beauty to what happened under the hood. My trusty old Dart is why I know about a slant six engine, which was the inspiration for this week's batch of dresses. I present the Slant Sixes:
They are each made from recycled cotton with panels of new linen, and they are one-of-a-kind. I also made four shirts:
and an eggplant-ish long vest:
