Meet your GAROs

Do you have a question about admissions, academic records or funding? If so, we encourage graduate students to speak with one of our knowledgeable and experienced Graduate Admissions and Records Officers (GARO).

Deborah Russell

Deborah brings over 16 years of academic and student service experience to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (FGPS). Joining the FGPS team in 2011, Deborah handles the admissions and records for the graduate programs in the Faculty of Social Work, Faculty of Music, Faculty of Science (except Math), Waterloo Lutheran Seminary and Geography. In her spare time she enjoys cheering for the Blue Jays and the Laurier Football team.

Jennifer Williams

Jennifer has been an Admissions and Records Officer for over 5 years. With over 10 years of experience in graduate education and admissions,  Jenn specializes in matters pertaining to admissions, records and funding for the Faculty of Arts (except Geography), Brantford, SBE, SIPG and Math. Jennifer is the mother of a very active 2 year old girl and in her spare time likes to experiment with pottery, cooking, and blog writing.

Deborah and Jennifer offer drop-in hours every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (9 a.m. - noon). For all other times, we encourage you to e-mail Deborah or Jennifer to book an appointment.

Graduate students who are returning to Laurier and have already registered with the ALC are required to make an appointment with their Disabilities Consultant at the beginning of the academic year (September-October 2013) to review their accommodation plan.
