CCTV Broadcast Schedule

SCC programs can be seen on CCTV, Comcast Cable Channel 21, for two weeks starting the Wednesday after the meeting on Wednesdays at 4pm, Thursdays at 4:30pm, Fridays at 7pm, and Saturdays at 1pm.

This year, Salem City Club is pleased to present “Health Care for Oregonians,” a five-part series on health care issues in our community. As the Affordable Care Act is implemented, learn how Oregon is taking a proactive role in health care reform and what it means for our state. The series will begin September 13 with Dr. Bruce Goldberg, Director of the Oregon Health Authority. November 8, Congressman Kurt Schrader will speak. Additional health care series programs will be announced in future eBulletins.

UPCOMING PROGRAMS

September 13: Dr. Bruce Goldberg, MD, Director of the Oregon Health Authority: Oregon’s Independent Path to Health Reform and What It Means To You. Dr. Goldberg will discuss Oregon’s health reforms, progress to date, and what the future holds for health care in our state.

September 27: Steve Amen, Executive Producer and Host of OPB’s popular television show, Oregon Field Guide: Visions of Oregon: Celebrating 25 Years of Covering the State. Steve Amen, will share a history of how Oregon Field Guide began, how environmental journalism has changed in the last 25 years and some of his favorite spots in Oregon.

October 11: Ted Wheeler, Oregon State Treasurer: The Oregon Economy.

October 25: Dr. Wayne Lei, Director of Research and Development, Portland General Electric: The Salem Smart Power Center and the Pacific Northwest Smart Grid Demonstration Project.

November 8: Congressman Kurt Schrader, representing Oregon's 5th Congressional District: A D.C. Update on the Affordable Care Act, and a report on the end of the budget year.
