Bike to the Beach needs our help!

Bike to the Beach New England is a 1-day charity ride starting in Boston and ending in Newport to benefit Autism Speaks on August 30, 2013. This is the second of year of the New England ride, and the third year for Washington D.C. and New York. Cyclists will brave the Labor Day heat to ride a century (100 miles), ending in Newport around 4 p.m.

Last year, we partnered with Bike to the Beach for this wonderful event, and we have them to thank for all our triathlon bike racks! We love supporting this ride as well as participating. In fact, you can still register to ride here.

If you don't feel like riding 100 miles and have a few hours to spare next Friday, why not spend them cheering on our valiant brethren? We're looking for 9 people to help out during the ride. Here are the locations and times we need volunteers to greet and support at:

3 people @ Mt. Hope Bridge: 10:30a-2:30p

2 people @ Burma Road at Green Lane:  11:00a-3:00p

2 people @ Ocean Drive near Castle Hill / Brenton Point:  11:30a-4:00p

2 people @ Ocean Drive Green Bridge:  11:30a - 4:00p

We appreciate whatever time and resources you can donate. You keep our wheels spinning!

Thanks,
The Bike Newport Team
